I
feel like this song belongs in the great American country and western
songbook if there ever were such a thing. It doesn't NEED a label of
course, but each time I hear it, I think of that golden age of country
music before "Urban", and "Rhinestone" cowboys. Something about this
song is so peaceful... The imagery of travel overland as the stars and
city lights twinkle by...and the firm assessment that "deep in my heart,
I know It's right"....It's timbre and pacing, and sense of longing are
for me, a real thing, and as such I feel very strongly that it's one of
the more "perfect" songs ever.
